Bows Art - Elle Fashion Trends

I love the monthly Elle fashion trends photo layouts. The one that caught my eye in the December 09 issue is called "Bows Art". Notice the detailed bows on the handbag, bloomers, the dresses, the necklace, the shoes and the umbrella. I love bows. They can be used to update your fashion wardrobe in so many ways by making items much more interesting.

• Add a bow to a sweater or shirt
• Use bows as belts for skirts and jeans.
• Tie the scarf around your neck into a bow
• Add bows to shoes
• Wear Hair Bows - both large and small.
• Jewelry - like bow brooches or necklaces or earrings
• Knee socks with bows
• Handbags with bow accessories.

Take a look at the oversized bows in the spring/summer 2009 collection. The bows are actually part of the dress, not added as embellishment.
